Thanks to @LilyAuthor@twitter.com I learned a lovely Welsh word today: cwtch (pronounced “kutch”, rhymes with “butch’), which translates approximately to “wrapping your arms around someone to make them feel safe from the world. “ That’s beautiful.

In 1992 I was 24 years old, in graduate school. I'd been pretty much asexual, but deep down I knew I was attracted to men and not women. The community of soc.motss (Members Of The Same Sex) helped me put into words how I felt, and provided the emotional support I needed.

What was the first Internet community you were part of? Bonus points if you can pin down the year.

Massive points for the deep callback.

Hello I am brand new to Twitter, what are you guys up to

Want to bid on a piece of Delta Airlines' last 747? You're in luck! thepointsguy.com/news/detla-la
For $500 you can have your very own overhead bin! Or a window panel for $350. (Although the $925 landing gear hub coffee table is pretty snazzy).

Barb and Ray are wonderful people, and their retirement creates a huge gap not only for furry fandom but for fandoms all over the US. They have supported @FurFest@twitter.com from the very beginning. I wish them all the best for the future. (They have a lot of MFF inventory on sale, too!)

By the way, this stuff is fantastic, whether you use a shaving brush or not. I just use a dime-sized bit rubbed between my hands and that does the trick. And if you want to figure out what scents you like they do a 13-piece variety sampler. smile.amazon.com/Taylor-Street

07 January 2021 - New order of shaving cream came in! These are pricey (US$17 each), but this represents a 21-month supply for me. flic.kr/p/2kq3bEu

Borrowing the words of a friend, but it holds true for me as well: If you support the seditious, un-American actions of the Trump supporters today, I want nothing more to do with you.

Hahaha! I grew up on the South Carolina side of "lakes you can't afford to live on" and that is totally a fair assessment.

Congratulations to all of my friends in Georgia for having reached a day where political groups will finally stop mailing, calling, emailing, and texting, and leave them the fsck alone. (Also: Awesome job so far! Fingers crossed!)

Reduce the mushroom liquid and wine to almost a glaze. Add the pork and herbs, and there’s the finished product. Not pretty, but damned tasty!

Weeknight dinner problem: I need to use up some leftover pork loin tonight. I have dried mushrooms, onions, and potatoes. Time to improvise!

This strikes me as something @MWwaff@twitter.com would appreciate. The googly eye is fantastic!

Shoutout to @radfagg@twitter.com (who's probably sick to death of mentions because of this piece :-) for the remarkable observation, "Healing doesn't mean that grief is over." Just...damn. That really hits home me. read "45 Questions to Ask While Waiting" at his site: radfag.com/2017/04/10/44-quest

1. One of the best things about Twitter is being able to say to a creator "I like this thing you did" and they can respond!
2. Holy crap. This clip introduces a list of seemingly mundane questions that opens a whole world of introspection. (Kudos to @jnnsmn@twitter.com for this piece)
