I miss DaVinci eMail 2.0. Y'all can talk about how awesome MUAs are today, but they all SUCK compared to what we were doing at DaVinci in the 90's.

It would have been an awesome IMAP client, had it lived long enough.

Also? Lotus Organizer. I've been trying to replicate that functionality with other programs for years.

@ksonney Out of curiosity, what functionality? I've never used Organizer to see what it did well.

@dodec It handled calendars, todos, linking email, notes and contacts in a way that was just smooth and easy to use. There are so many thing we did to smooth over the bumps of console (re: DOS) apps that are just not taken into consideration anymore.

Like, the functionality I can replicate, but the integration and the ease of use has never been replicated.

@dodec I think in software there is now a "Functional, Easy to use, or Integrated - pick 2" mentality when it comes to standalone or productivity apps.
